About SNYP
SNYP (Spay/Neuter Your Pet) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. We provide the community with information on all known low-cost spay/neuter programs within Jackson County. In addition, SNYP provides a subsidized spay/neuter program for people who otherwise could not afford to have their pets altered.
The SNYP need-based subsidy program is made possible only through the participation of a number of dedicated veterinary offices in the Rogue Valley who provide their services to SNYP's need-based clientele.
For the general public, SNYP organizes seasonal campaigns such as the February Prevent a Litter Campaign, the July $10 a Tom, and the October Tom & Mom Campaigns.These seasonal campaigns have been created to help curb the damage done during high breeding seasons, and to encourage the neutering of male cats. The special certificates are made available to anyone in Jackson County. To make the campaigns as convenient for the public as possible, the special discount certificates are sold at local pet supply stores. The special spay/neuter certificates are redeemable at any of the participating veterinary offices listed on the back of each certificate. All appointments must be made during the campaign month.
SNYP also creates special programs for specific members of our community these include SNYP's Fix-It Ticket Program - to encourage the rescue of stray and abandoned tame cats, the SAV Program (Special Assistance Voucher Program) for low income pet owners, and the Feral Cat Program.
